eSIM Installation Guide
Set up your eSIM in minutes. Please ensure you are connected to a stable Wi-Fi network before starting the installation.
We recommend installing your eSIM a few days before you travel, then switching on Data Roaming only once you land — this avoids surprises and lets you fix any issue while you still have your home connection.
Direct Install
The fastest way — one tap, right from the device you’ll travel with. No scanning needed.
Open your confirmation on your travel phone
Open the order confirmation email or your MAXESIMO account on the same iPhone you plan to use abroad.
Tap "Install eSIM"
Your iPhone will prompt you to add a new cellular plan. Tap "Continue" or "Add eSIM" when asked.
Label your new eSIM
Give it a name like "Travel eSIM" so it’s easy to find later in your cellular settings.
Activate on arrival
Once you land, go to Settings → Cellular, turn on your MAXESIMO line, and enable Data Roaming.
Direct Install works on iPhone with iOS 17.4 or later, opened on the same device. If the link doesn’t prompt anything, use the QR Code method instead.
Not available on Android yet
Most Android phones don’t support one-tap eSIM installation. But don’t worry — the two methods below take less than a minute and work reliably on every Android device.
Scan QR Code
Best when you have a second screen handy — a laptop, another phone, or a printout.
Open the QR code on a second device
Display your QR code on a laptop, tablet, another phone, or a printed copy — not on the phone you’re installing to.
Go to your phone’s cellular settings
Go to Settings → Cellular → Add eSIM → Use QR Code.
Go to Settings → Network & Internet → SIMs → Add eSIM.
Scan through the Settings scanner
Point your camera at the QR code using the scanner built into Settings — not your regular Camera app.
Confirm and label your eSIM
Follow the on-screen prompts, then name it something like "Travel eSIM".
Activate on arrival
Once you land, turn on your MAXESIMO line and enable Data Roaming.
A QR code can only be scanned once. If you get an error saying the plan can’t be added, it’s likely already installed — check your SIM manager instead of rescanning.
Manual Installation
For tablets, devices without a camera, or if QR scanning isn’t working.
Find your activation details
Your SM-DP+ Address and Activation Code are in your confirmation email, right below the QR code.
Choose manual entry
Go to Settings → Cellular → Add eSIM → Enter Details Manually.
Go to Settings → Network & Internet → SIMs → Add eSIM → Enter details manually.
Enter the address and code exactly
Copy and paste both fields carefully — a single extra space or missing character will cause it to fail.
Confirm and label your eSIM
Name it something like "Travel eSIM" so it’s easy to find.
Activate on arrival
Once you land, turn on your MAXESIMO line and enable Data Roaming.
If manual entry keeps failing, switch to the QR Code method — it’s more reliable on most devices.
